Immediate need for a talented Field Service Technician. This is a 06 months Contract to Hire opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Roanoke, VA(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $18 - $20/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
• Daily travel to customer sites to repair printers (primarily Fujifilm and Lexmark), replace workstations, troubleshoot networks, work on POS equipment.
• M-F 8-5, occasional overtime
• Will there be OC (on call)? Yes, every other week 24/7 on-call
• Will there be shift differentials? No
• How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? 50-150 miles
• What radius range should candidates be located from the job location? 30 miles
• What is the exact work location or city, state, or zip? Roanoke, VA and surrounding area - Lynchburg, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Salem, Forest

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; ["Field Support", "Desktop Support", "Computer Technician", "PC Technician"]
• Must have access to a reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Self-motivated and organized
• 2 years is preferred but not required
• Do they need any specific certifications or education? No, A is nice to have, but not required
• May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and entry level
• 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
