Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our hotel, ensuring that guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay. The Hotel Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning and organizing guest rooms and public areas, while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas, following established protocols and checklists.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest supplies (i.e., toiletries, snacks, etc.) as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decor, ensuring a tidy appearance of all surfaces.
- Vacuum and mop floors, ensuring cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and dining areas.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean housekeeping cart and stock supply closets.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
