The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for recovering post-operative adult patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center environment. This role requires strong teamwork, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while providing skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:
- Recover post-operative adult patients.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and assess patients' post-anesthesia condition.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a positive attitude and engage in direct communication with colleagues.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY License ONLY).
- Minimum of two (2) years of PACU experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ICU experience.
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night).
- Must be available to work schedules including holidays and weekends.
- Must be available for on-call and call-back duties as needed.
