Job Summary:
The Plumbing Service / Warranty Technician is responsible for performing residential and commercial service calls, diagnosing plumbing issues, and completing warranty repairs with accuracy and professionalism. This role involves interacting directly with customers, troubleshooting problems on-site, and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant workmanship. The technician serves as the face of the company in the field, maintaining strong communication with management and clients while representing company standards and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform service calls and warranty work, including diagnostics, repairs, and minor installations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining findings and recommending solutions.
  • Accurately diagnose plumbing issues and provide efficient, lasting repairs.
  • Complete required documentation, including service reports and warranty claims.
  • Ensure all work meets plumbing code and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job site and company vehicle.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and management for scheduling and job updates.
  • Mentor and support apprentices as needed during service visits.
  • Maintain inventory of service vehicle materials and request restocks as needed.
  • Follow all company policies regarding conduct, safety, and vehicle use.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years of plumbing service or warranty experience.
  • Valid Journeyman Plumber’s License (preferred; required in some areas).
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under company vehicle policy.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and confined space work.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; heavier loads with assistance.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
  • Work in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined or elevated environments.
  • Regular use of ladders and power tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Use of PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, is required.
Safety Requirements:
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset in all customer environments.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial plumbing systems, including dirty or wet environments.
  • May involve emergency calls, weekends, overtime, and after-hours availability.
  • Use of protective gear required in hazardous or loud environments.
