Company Description

At Saatchi we believe in creating ideas that can live anywhere. And we believe that when we work as a team, nothing is impossible. We strive to bring out the best in each other and in ourselves and expect applicants to understand the value of close collaboration. We also believe that creating transformational work requires initiative, an entrepreneurial spirit and a bold commitment to achieving measurable results and business success for the Clients we service.

Saatchi & Saatchi currently maintains a hybrid work policy to work in-office three days per week and remotely the other two days each week. This role is based in NYC with no exceptions.

Overview

Are you curious about why people do the things they do? What inspires them, motivates them, meets their needs and makes them happy?

Do you love how users on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Youtube and other platforms create and drive culture that spills into--and even takes over--the mainstream?

Do you geek out on creators, content, and platform innovations, and always the first to share new things with colleagues and friends?

We are seeking a Social Strategist to join our rapidly growing department and help lead new thinking, inspire our teams, and guide our clients in the digital & social space.

Responsibilities

  • Drive social, content, and platform strategy at the campaign-planning level
  • Contribute to quarterly planning in collaboration with Social Strategy Director
  • Inform brand planning and data strategy in collaboration with those disciplines
  • Help to write (and in some cases own) creative briefs that not only lead to great work, but have the potential to earn media and break through in culture
  • Lead creator workstreams, and drive talent searches, vetting, briefing, and fulfillment in collaboration with production and media partners
  • Master of the roll-out strategy, helping to architect our campaigns post-by-post to maximize impact, leverage consumer behaviors, and ensure a flawless execution
  • Work with media team to plan and execute paid social strategies
  • Work with data strategy team to add context to, and develop insights & recommendations from, performance reporting
  • Client-facing role as day-to-day resource and contributor to active social workstreams

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience at a creative or media agency, or in-house with a brand team.
  • For all of the above, nationally recognized brand or retail brand experience required
  • Advanced marketing knowledge of major & emerging social platforms, including their products, user behaviors, and tools & interfaces
  • Expert on platforms’ ad tools, post formats, specs & best practices, and full-funnel uses
  • Deep understanding of consumer behaviors in social, and how it integrates with their daily lives, real world cultures & interests, and journeys through the marketing funnel
  • Ability to inspire & excite creatives to generate big and innovative ideas for social, not just produce assets to meet best practices
  • Experience working with data strategists, and how learnings are used to inspire and optimize our creativity, not just report on it
  • Understanding that all of the above is in service of a defined and measurable business outcome, and how marketing and media plans are all a means to that critical end

Expected term: 10/13/25-1/31/26 with potential to extend or go permanent.
