Job Description

Job Duties:

• Developing a cadre of Unarmed Security Officers in anticipation of new opportunities in South Carolina.
• This is a temporary/seasonal Uniformed Unarmed Security Officer role for future opportunities. 
• We anticipate assignments in or around Bluffton, throughout Beaufort County, Hilton Head Island, Hardeeville, Okatie and other areas.
• Officer identifies suspicious behavior.
• Take Notes.
• Write Reports.
• React to threats as they occur and de-escalate situations.
• Wear and operate Body video cameras.
• Utilize handheld metal detectors where applicable.
• Monitor Security Cameras where applicable.
• Surveillance where applicable.
• Patrol on foot and vehicle patrol for a designated area.
• Prevent unauthorized access to an area.
• Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings.
• Wear an approved security uniform. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job Requirements:

• No criminal arrests.
• Pass an illegal drug screen test.
• Able to pass a background investigation.
• Pass prior employment reference checks.
• Wear a designated uniform & meet our grooming standards.
• Pass an occupational physical exam.
• Successfully pass the SLED Basic Security Officers training program unless you have a certificate of completion.
• Must have reliable transportation & valid car insurance.
• An active cell phone.

Benefits:

• No-cost training is provided.
• Certain Travel is required for operational assignments and training opportunities.
• Uniforms are provided for Security roles.

Pay : 

• $10.00 per hour to participate in SLED required training classes.
• $20.00 per hour after successfully completing required SLED training unless already completed and you have a course completion certificate to provide us.
